1. BOSCO INFORMATION SERVICE (BIS) is constituted by the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) for the management of Salesian information in the region of South Asia. BIS consists of a network of correspondents who gather Salesian information from various centres, process it, and share it with the rest of the Salesian world.

2. Organizationally, BIS has a three-tier structure – local, provincial, and national/regional.

At the local level, there are the correspondents who keep track of Salesian events in their respective localities and forward news dispatches to the Province Coordinator of BIS.

At the Province level, there are the Provincial Coordinators of BIS who organize Salesian Information within the province and facilitate information sharing with the rest of the region.

At the Regional(South Asia)level, the South Asian Delegate for Social Communication coordinates information sharing within the region, and between South Asia and the rest of the Salesian world.

3. As a Salesian organization for information sharing, BIS works in close collaboration with the International Salesian News Agency (ANS).
