A workshop on data analysis

Helmed by Dr. G. Kumar, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Social Work, Periyar Govt. Arts College, Cuddalore and also addressed by Fr. Kasi Sagayaraj SDB, who is pursuing his MBA at SRM Institute, Chennai, a workshop was held on Data Analysis, Research Methodology and its Application with the implementation of SPSS. The one-day workshop was held at SIGA on March 23, 2018.

    SPSS Statistics is a software package used for logical batched and non-batched statistical analysis. Long produced by SPSS Inc., it was acquired by IBM in 2009. The current versions are officially named IBM SPSS Statistics.

    IBM SPSS platform offers advanced statistical analysis, a vast library of machine learning algorithms, text analysis, open source extensibility, integration with big data and seamless deployment into applications. Its easy-to-use, flexible and scalable platform makes IBM SPSS accessible to users with all skill levels and outfits projects of all sizes and complexity to help you and your organization to find new opportunities, improve efficiency and minimize risk.

    The workshop was attended by staff of SIGA, final year students of SIGA as well as those from other technical institutes of Don Bosco.
