Enabling youth to contribute to society

The youth of today have to study, reflect and contribute to the society by listening and debating with many experts from various fields of social work. To facilitate this, youngsters with social interest, from various Don Bosco Institutions decided to come together on every 3rd Sunday of the month.

“We have titled this forum as Bosco Karuthu Kalam (BKK) with the tagline of Vithaithu Kondaieru… Mulaithal Maram Madinthal Uram. We began the first session on the World Day of the Poor, November 19, 2017 at DBICA Hall, Taylors Road, Chennai,” informs Fr. Mani Lazar SDB, INM Province Youth Director.

Professor Andrews Raja SDB came as a resource person and gave a lecture on Social Analysis. His talk made the participants to think sharply and they came out with many reflective questions. Answering all questions he guided them to formulate a few action plans for this month. It was well begun with an active participation of many youngsters. “We will be meeting again on December 17 to reflect on theme ‘Media Politics’,” informs Fr. Lazar.
