How to maintain Industrial Safety and Health

Most of the employees getting into an industry do not know that they have a right for being safe and healthy in the given environment; Industrial safety and health is every employee’s right. The animation for the 42 ITI students who participated in the Training and Animation by Mr. Stephen Raj at DBSARC, was purely based on the Factories Act 1948.

The health and safety provisions in the Act were discussed with the students and the concept was simplified according to the level of the ITI students. Many practical tips for the students were given - for instance, when they meet with an accident, what is the role of an organisation in helping that particular person, the safety materials that all the employees should have in the organization, the responsible persons both in the industry and in the society for their health and safety. All these and the ways and means to contact such people were discussed in the animation.
