The workshop was part of the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) course level II. The program started with the Inaugural ceremony presided over by Fr. Joe Mannath SDB, national president of CRI and Fr. Xavier Packiam SDB, the economer of Chennai Province. After the invocation and lighting of lamp, Fr. Joe Mannath delivered the key note address, in which he spoke about the need for the blend of professional elements and cultural and gender sensitivities in Counselling practice.
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Chandran Gopalakrishnan, a science graduate from the University of Madras and a Master in Business Administration from the Michigan Business School, US. Mr. Chandran delineated the basic tenets of NLP in the preliminary sessions and provided short practice sessions on basic techniques though out the two days of workshop. As a certified NLP Trainer Mr. Chandran, answered the queries of the participants associating other therapies with NLP techniques.
28 participants attended the two day workshop, consisting of students, research scholars, faculty members and practioners. All the participants received the certificate of participation at the close of the two day workshop.
