Pope’s Day Seminar, DBTC

On 29 th June, the Pope’s Day Seminar was held at Don Bosco Theological Centre, Kavarapettai, Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. “On Synodality: The Specific Modus Vivendi (Way of Being) et Operandi (Way of Living) of the Church in India” was the theme of the Seminar. Fr. Arnald Mahesh SDB, Dean of Philosophy, St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bangalore, delivered the keynote address. The chain of questions that he has proposed kept the listeners
engaged and called for more reflections.

    From the Second year students of Theology, Br. Vimal, Br. Jerome and Br. Britto presented the main themes of the Synod: Communion, Participation and Mission respectively. The entire event went Online through YouTube Live- streaming. The seminar concluded with a floor discussion filled with lot of thought provoking questions and clarifying interventions. On the whole it was indeed a “Synodal-Seminar” – seeking God’s guidance by listening to the Spirit from the promptings in each one present there.
