Social Analysis and Spoken English


Social Analysis and Spoken English were the topics selected for training and animation by DBSARC - Don Bosco Social Action and Research Centre, Polur for the month of October. From October 8 to 10, 2017, Mr. Stephen Raj animated the session on Social Analysis at Don Bosco Philosophate, Warangal.

    The social analysis training was given to the students of philosophy during their village exposure programme. Here the students stayed in one of the Salesian houses of INH province. Mr Stephen Raj gave three input sessions - the first was introducing the social analysis programme for the students and emphasizing the importance of it. The second session was on food and health, the changes taken place in the past, the reasons for those changes and how it affects our health conditions. The third session was on education and employment - the problems with the education system in India and the recent trends.

    On October 15, 2017 Mr Stephen Raj animated a session on Social Analysis and Spoken English at the Thurumbar Community Hall, Aarani.
    The basics of spoken English was taught to the children of class 5 to class 10. Proper use of grammar was part of this education. The children were also taught the phonetics.

    The second session was for the youngsters who shared their own views in analysing the society they lived in. Another analysis was about their daily lives, such as the amount of money that every family spent unnecessarily in a month. It was surprising to see that every family spent about Rs. 500 per month, unnecessarily.
