This is a public welfare, service oriented, non-profitable institution started in the year 1986 for the school dropouts in and around Pondicherry and the nearby villages, irrespective of caste, creed and colour. It accepts them with open arms and gives them education, guidance, love, attention and calls for their individual capacity and inclination. Besides their educational needs food, shelter and clothes are provided.
The home is the innovative approach to link these dropout children once again to the education streamline. This will help them to adopt a method suitable to their age and mental makeup so that they could again get back to the formal learning. Besides imparting education, the home also takes care of the all-round formation of the child with healthy and sound environment. Started as a unit of the Young at Risk programme, this institute continues to address the problem of children turning to the streets, by preventing school dropouts and enabling them to settle down in life.
