Good Samaritan Day

Proverb 19 : 17 says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Celebrations and charity shown to the poor and needy will definitely bring us closer to God and to one another.

To imbibe the value of sharing in the young minds, Good Samaritan Day, an excellent initiative taken by Rev. Fr. Philip Louie, which embraces and enriches the vision of our patron saint John Bosco, was held on December 9, 2017. The chief guests, Sr. Regina Roselyn Mary, Director of Bishop Allen house, Egmore, Mrs. Pandora and Rev. Fr. Leo SDB added splendor to this outreach programme. Old people from the neighboring localities, the sick, lame and blind and the neglected street wanderers were identified and recognized through sharing the Christmas gifts contributed by magnanimous parents. It was indeed a touching sight to watch the tear-filled eyes as they received the help rendered with the grateful hearts.
