Highlighting the political responsibility of youth


Political awareness is a necessary aspect for the youth of today, as it helps them to become responsible citizens. This was the focus of the animation by Mr. Arul Doss, National Coordinator, NAPM, Mr. Gopal, Principal of Blind School, Poonamallee, Mr. Anest Raj, a student of MSW, Loyola College, Fr. Arul Valan and Mr. Stephen Raj, held at Don Bosco Polytechnic College on January 24, 2018.

    In his introduction, Fr. Arul Valan made them realize their awareness level regarding the political responsibility. Mr. Stephen Raj also introduced the topic to the students by asking a few questions related to it. Mr Arul Doss took the first session based on his life’s experiences of the political involvement of the youth. Mr. Gopal continued the session on the role of education in bringing a political responsibility and awareness. Mr. Anest Raj concluded the first session, sharing his experience in protesting against NEET.

    The second session was a group discussion. An animator was given to each group, where the students could ask their questions and doubts and get clarified by him. The third session was conducted by Fr. Arul Valan and Mr. Stephen Raj, emphasizing their role in the present political situations. A total of 122 youth took part in this animation.
