The community of St. Bede's had arranged a picnic for the boarders to Mamallapuram on the 5th of November. The Salesians together with the boarders and some workers rode our way to Mamallapuram popularly known as Mahabalipuram. It was an enriching experience were the boarders came to know about the historic events of Tamil Nadu. We visited the popularly known places of Mahabalipuram, like Descent of Ganges, Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas and light house. The boarders were happy to witness in reality what they studied in their lessons. Later, after having our lunch in Mahabalipuram we moved to Tiger Cave, (which if 5km before Mahabalipuram) were we had party games and tea. It was a day of enhancing our knowledge, admiring the beauty of the nature and appreciating the marvellous richness of our heritage.
