Towards creating better Social Awareness

Sixty Four boarders of Don Bosco Boy’s home, Polur participated in an animation by Mr. Stephen Raj on the topic of “social awareness” on November 11, 2017. The subject was divided into five sub-topics: Awareness of language, Awareness of food and health, Awareness of culture, Political awareness and the Present scenario in India. The general observation was that the students do not realize problems as problems.

    While there were students from class 6 to class 12, those from the higher classes seems to be more understanding and interested than the others. It was shocking to know the fact that the children do not care what they eat and the way they live. Even the knowledge that the children have about all these facts are limited. The children show very limited interest in knowing about what is happening around them. Hence, animations on subjects like Social Awareness help in improving the outlook of the students.
