Grace Gala 2026 Unites 300 Youth in Celebration of Faith and Talent
About 300 young people from 25 parishes of the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore participated in the second edition of Grace Gala 2026, a diocesan-level cultural festival organised by the Lourdes Shrine Youth (LSY) of Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, Perambur, on July 12.
The festival offered a lively platform for youth to display their talents, spark creativity, and build friendships across parish communities in an atmosphere of faith, unity, and healthy competition. More importantly, it highlighted the spirit of communion among the youth.
The event featured a wide range of individual and group competitions, including Photography, Reel Making, Face Painting, Ramp Walk, Channel Surfing, Solo Singing, Adaptune, Group Singing, Group Dance, and Treasure Hunt. Participants from diverse educational, cultural, and parish backgrounds displayed their artistic abilities while gaining confidence and overcoming stage fear.
Renowned choreographer Master Johny attended as a special guest and interacted with the participants, inspiring them to pursue their creative talents with confidence and dedication.
The youth of the Church of the Holy Eucharist, Thirumullaivoyal, emerged as the Overall Champions of Grace Gala 2026 after delivering consistently strong performances across multiple competitions.
Organisers said the festival aimed not only to recognise talent but also to strengthen communion among the youth of the Archdiocese. By bringing together participants from different parishes, Grace Gala highlighted young people’s gifts, built lasting friendships, and showed the wider Church as one family while promoting collaboration and mutual support.
