TECH EXPO 2026: Inspiring Young Minds through Technical Education
Thirukazhukundram, 18–19 August 2026: Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Thirukazhukundram, is organizing TECH EXPO 2026 on 18 and 19 August 2026, providing school students with a vibrant platform to explore science, technology, innovation and practical learning.
A total of 160 projects are being exhibited by the six departments of the Polytechnic College—Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Basic Engineering. The exhibits showcase the creativity, technical skills and innovative spirit of the polytechnic students through practical demonstrations and interactive presentations.
The Expo is witnessing the participation of around 1,600 students from Classes X, XI and XII, representing 25 Government Schools from Chengalpattu District. Through direct interaction with the student exhibitors, the visiting school students are gaining valuable exposure to various fields of engineering and technical education.
In keeping with the Salesian tradition of educating and accompanying young people, TECH EXPO 2026 seeks to create awareness among school students about technical education, engineering careers, innovation and the importance of practical learning. The event provides an opportunity for young learners to move beyond the classroom, observe technology in action, ask questions and discover new possibilities for their future.
The interaction between school students and polytechnic student exhibitors adds a special dimension to the Expo. The student-to-student engagement encourages curiosity, confidence and peer learning, while enabling the young exhibitors to share their knowledge and inspire the next generation.
