The History of the HouseDon Bosco Youth Animation Centre, is situated at the Ennore Creek, 18 Kms. from the heart of Chennai city. It stands in idyllic surroundings with the Bay of Bengal on one side and the placid backwaters on the other. Away from the noise of the city, the quiet atmosphere here is conducive to reflection, prayer, meditation and sharing. Don Bosco Youth Animation Centre is God’s gift, especially to the young. Intended primarily to serve young people, the centre has now extended its services to adults too.

A 12-acre sprawling campus, purchased by the Salesians in 1982 beside Kathivakkam High Road, Ennore had a natural growth into a centre for Retreat and Renewal. DBYAC has always attracted the attention of people who sought God in nature and solitude. This place, filled with exquisite greenery, picturesque pathways, backwaters and dazzling trees is an ideal place to relax, learn and pray.
